AMTEC participates in the European NERTHUS Project, a collaborative initiative focused on developing next-generation eco-composites for sustainable mobility. In partnership with ATE Composites (Spain), Bcomp and CompPair (Switzerland), and Angeloni Group (Italy), the project aims to create innovative materials—such as enhanced natural fibers, bio-based resins, and self-healing systems—tailored to a range of industrial applications.
As the lead partner for testing, AMTEC is responsible for developing advanced test methods to validate the performance of these new materials, analyze their failure mechanisms, and, in collaboration with industry OEMs, contribute to the design of tailored components for various industrial sectors, including aerospace, automotive, and rail.
This project received funding from the program Interempresas Internacional (CIIP) co-funded by CDTI and the Eureka-Eurostars in the framework program for research and innovation Horizon Europe of the European Union.
