The Poliheat project, part of the European Space Agency's (ESA) Future Launchers Preparatory Programme (FLPP) under the FIRST initiative, focuses on advancing thermal protection systems (TPS) for the rear sections of launch vehicles. The project aims to enhance the maturity and reusability of existing TPS technologies, with a particular emphasis on CFRP structures capable of withstanding high temperatures. 

The project partners are AMTEC and COMPOXI, with AMTEC leading the testing activities, including material characterization at very high temperatures and performance evaluation.
