This project focuses on the development of new testing methods, tooling, sensors, and data reduction techniques for evaluating composite materials and structural adhesives at ultra-low temperatures, ranging from 20 to 80 K, key to enabling the next generation of hydrogen-powered aircraft.
A significant research effort is dedicated to defining reliable test procedures and understanding the fracture and failure mechanisms of advanced materials under cryogenic conditions. Through this initiative, AMTEC is conducting cutting-edge applied research, reinforcing its position as a leading player in cryogenic testing at the global level.
